Some of the good habits I had formed over the years had become ineffective because they had become simple rote repetitions and there wasn’t the same excitement and emotion behind them there used to be.
“Without change something sleeps inside us, and seldom awakens. The sleeper must awaken.” Frank Hebert “Dune”
There are simple things we can do to make the stale habits fresh. Try a new location. If you read, meditate or do yoga in your living room every day try going out on the deck, in the kitchen anywhere different and you may be surprised at what that change can bring.
If you are a writer try a different pen, different paper or different keyboard.
Even readers can create a better experience by sitting at a different table, trying a new coffee shop or café. Read in the park, find different locations that suit you.
If your habits have gone stale try something different to make them fresh again. If you have ideas or changes that have worked for you please share them in the comments below.
