There are many parts to the Social Web or Web 2.0.
- Social Networks: Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, bebo, friendster, hi5, orkut (for more check here)
- Social Media: Videos - YouTube,Vimeo, Vidder Photos - ipernity, Zooomr, Flickr, PhotoBucket
- Social Bookmarks: Digg, Stumble Upon, Reddit, Technorati, mixx
- Blogs: WordPress, Blogger, LiveJournal, Typepad
- Micro-Blogs: Twitter, Plurk, Jaiku, Identi.ca
Imagine, the list above is just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many ways to communicate and interact online but how effective is all of this? How many different networks can you really keep up with?
I limit my self to a few select sites so I don’t go too crazy trying to keep up. I have really enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and making some great new ones.
In the next series of posts I will be touching on what I call the 3 Ps of the Social Web: Profile, Pictures, Posts.
I will also be sharing the tools I use to make it easier to keep track of multiple networks at once.
Subscribe to my blog and you will be able to get the low down as soon as I post them here.
